Sundance Film Festival

http://www2.sundance.org/

If you like movies, especially independent film from all over the world, you have a great opportunity living here in Utah to attend one of the premiere film festivals in the entire world!

Most people think unless you have a lot of money or unless you get tickets months in advance that you can't attend the Sundance Film Festival.

The truth is that anyone can attend! Here are some details on how you can attend.  Check out this...

WAIT-LIST TICKET SALES

January 17, 2008 - January 27, 2008

The Wait-List has become a Sundance tradition and each year hundreds of Festivalgoers see popular films without advance tickets. There's no need to go to the Main Box Office- just go directly to the theatre of the screening you wish to attend. Arrive two hours before the scheduled screening time to pick up your wait-list number (one per person). For each theatre's first screening of the day, wait-list numbers will be distributed one hour before the scheduled screening time. Once you have your number, you can go grab a coffee or a sandwich, but you must return no later than 30 minutes before the screening time. You'll then line up according to number, and tickets are sold in sequential order. The best part is that the tickets are only $10! Only cash is accepted, so be sure to stop by the ATM before coming to the theatres.

Nomen Global Meeting and Eating

改kai善zen

Today we had a big meeting with all the staff and teachers. We discussed a Japanese concept Kaizen which basically means change and good, or constant improvement.
After the meeting we went out to lunch at Chuck-o-Rama and had a great time. Here are some things people said afterwards:

"As an international student I could interact with the teachers who had me speak English the whole time" Victor

"Teacher's Meeting was awesome! 2008 is 'da year for learning English. And we pumped up in here!" Ika

"It was fun and a good idea to be together with the whole company. I just wish I was sitting by Ika because the party is wherever Ika is!" Erica

"That was a wonderful meeting, mingle staff with teachers is something we needed. I think everybody feels part of the same thing. Having lunch with the teachers was another opportunity to get to know each other and make friends." Amado

"It was a real feast of healthy American food with a huge variety of vegetables, fruits and meat! It was also an enjoyable time to sit with coworkers and chat, to have fun!" Elena

"The meeting was so good, now I realize that we have to be more open" David

"It was a good time to get to know each other and have so much fun. We are gathering together like family. My family is far away from here but I have a family here in Utah. I'm so stuffed . . ." Megume

"The staff and teachers have made relationships that create an environment of acceptance and a place for friendships. The students will notice the change and quickly want to join the team. It's great!" Aubrie

"I am excited to be a member of such a great staff and look forward to a great new year" Jason R.
